Abstract: Automated quality control of wooden products is an important step for automation of wood production. The smoothness and texture of the wooden surface increases the quality of production. This article deals with the inspection of quality of wooden surfaces. Various texture analysis methods were investigated to find out the features of wooden products. Different classification methods were applied and investigated in order to classify the features that were extracted from defected surfaces and the comparative results were included in the paper.
